New things!
A note to my family and friends, and to the two unknown weirdos who for some reason read this
First of all, thank you for following me this far. Writing these posts has provided me with hope and purpose in a way that is difficult to describe. As I’ve said many times, I want who I am in the world to be a direct reflection of my deepest self, and this is a tiny step in the right direction.
So I’ve decided to stop thinking of this as a fun side project and start thinking of it as a fun seed to nurture into a very serious but also fun oak tree. Practically, this means a couple things for this newsletter:
(1) I will start upping my cadence. My goal is to post weekly. Please don’t hesitate to unsubscribe if this is too much. I know everyone gets too many emails and I don’t want to ever feel like I’m taking attention from things that matter to you.
(2) I will be running experiments with different forms and themes. This may include some very weird stuff, like comics and poems and fictions. Please bear with me and let me know if something hits home for you, or if it misses spectacularly.
(3) At some point, once I feel like I have a rhythm, I’m going to start sharing on social media, which makes me cringe just thinking about it. If you feel a piece was really worth your time, please share it with people who you think would like it – I would appreciate it more than anything.
I hope that this has found you well. And I hope you find it well in return. Or some nonsense like that.
