Oh wow - that is so cool! The partner of my son's piano teacher is a forager! He has his own business making stuff from what he forages and selling it! He's quite successful! <3
I live in city limits but it's more like the suburbs with people tending to have more urban sensibilities. I have created my own nature yard. I love seeing this take off in my area. Fewer and fewer people want the antiseptic lawn of chem-shit. More are letting dandi lions grow, caring for bees and butterflies and some are starting to grow more food!
Once my neighbor had a turkey in her yard! Another time a fox stared at my husband as he was slowly driving home from work one night. You never know, if we become more in harmony with our nature, nature might find us even in the city. Maybe even a deer to stare at you. A bunny stared at the other day. It was so cool! I also saw a bunny and a squirrel stare at each other, each on one side of the sidewalk! Living in wonder can happen even when you live in the city! I'd love to see more food forests too!
Are you familiar with Daniel Reyes? He is an urban mycologist. Look up mycoalliance. You may find some inspiration in the magic coming to the city!
Hi Alicia! I'm not familiar but will check him out. I have a friend who forages in Golden Gate Park – so cool to see someone who knows their stuff.

Good to see a fellow nature lover!
